Help with what this 1919 tool is?
Maybe 30" long. Found in a storage unit. Frog gigger? Pry bar? Tire tool? Go/No-go tool?
2nd pic is distorted looking. Just a wooden handle. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1468530334.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1468530352.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1468530368.jpg |
Weed puller.

If the handle is original might be worth more than the $10 this one went for.

Google "antique dandelion puller", and you will see a bunch of them.

Which BTW, I said, if the handle is original. Could have been shortened or replaced with a shorter one at some point in time. That is something that happens with wood handled tools. Or quite possibly, there were options for different lengths. But there is most definitely a handle. |

/QUOTE] Thanks guys. One handed weed pulling while standing on your knees would be easier with the shorter handle? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1468536288.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1468536315.jpg |
Try it on some weeds.

Longer handle while standing seems better? |
Yea, 2-4-D is a lot faster and easier! ;)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic_acid At my very first house I spent several hours pulling dandelions and other weeds by hand. A few days later I swear they were re-incarnated. I went with the chemical option. Better life with chemistry. That weed puller is a neat wall hangar for display. |
