Went and Did it...

I made the purchase and picked it up yesterday from El Cajon Victory Indian. I am now the proud owner of a 2017 Victory Octane.

After trying the other sport-cruisers they had to offer I decided the Octane was it. Having ridden the Scout and Scout Sixty, it definitely IS NOT a Scout. While some things are shared between both models the Octane is still its own beast. More off-the-line power, more aggressive powerband, a little lower gearing, wheelie-happy, and more comfortable controls.

I am ecstatic with my purchase - partly due to getting the "bro deal" and ending up in a great spot on the money. I'll be riding it to Aliso Viejo Cars and Coffee tomorrow, too.

Sat on one of those in the San Diego Indian store. Liked it a lot but will be keeping my current bike.

Ha ha... beat me to it.

If I had the $$$ for a cruiser the Victory would be high on my list, love the muscular look.

Have fun and be safe and watch out for coyotes

The engine looks purposeful. I like how they finally concede that its water-cooled and doesn't need the fins on the jugs as if it was air-cooled. This bike platform, with an ante of half the cost of similar HD's, might get a nice following and good aftermarket support.

BTW, is it really "Wheelie-happy"? That would be hilarious to see someone loft the front wheel on one of these.

I'll never forget watching some redneck wheelie his VMax while helmet-less and with his helmet-less kid on the back. Somewhere in TN or NC near Deals Gap if memory serves.
