free 460 engine
my neighbor has an old, perhaps 80's, Icasta camper he said I could have.
don't know the engine size for sure but I am assuming its a 460. if it is, is it worth taking it out? I would have to then have a junk man come get the camper for scrap. I also assume it does not run but American V8's are cheap as dirt to rebuild....compared to a porsche |

460's are great. Stupid power. Cheap. I wouldn't assume the RV had a 460. Lots of power options. Mostly all good for toys. Just don't put whatever you get in a 911 - that is a sin.

Waste of time.

The 385 family which includes 429 and 460 are affectionately known as "boat anchors". Pass.

Truck motors. FE? Included the 390, right?
|
Too bad it wasn't a cammer...

The 460 became instantly obsolete as a truck motor the minute the direct injection, Powerstroke diesel debuted. It did the job ok but at a huge cost in fuel and w/o the torque of even the earliest DI turbo diesels.

But they are fun...
