Yesterday I replaced the heater/ac fan resistor on pu because of losing low and mid speeds. YouTube video showed where to find it and how to replace it, making it an easy job. The regulator resistor was $9 new from ebay. Fan works on all speeds now :)

Shocks/struts/rear control arms on my wife's BMW 325CI.

Lots.

Washer was cutting out. Read the codes, quick search, fixed with a $20.00 part and a You Tube walk thru.

First oil change on the Tundra - a bit goofy.

Farmer equipment. Fuel filters on tractors, bleeding the diesel fuel lines, balers, trailer wiring, welder settings and advice...on and on. I keep an old laptop at the work shop for that reason.

Utube tells me to check a thermal fuse, resistor and relay with a multi-meter. I ck those and the element while I'm at it. Only the thermal fuse checks bad. OEM part is $26. On Ebay, I get all three parts in a kit for $6.59. Replace the thermal fuse and we're in Tall Cotton.

Been there. The eBay thermal fuses lasted a week. OEM lasted years...I hope you have better luck.

I preview all my car repairs. Mainly to see what tools I need to have ready.

This.

It often has the answer to strange "challenges" and issues. It has a lot of crap as well. Finding the gems in the piles is the first step.

Only way I can disassemble and reassemble my Ruger Mk II spoon is by following a youtube video

Repaired the vertical blinds in my rentals, fixed the microwave door handle...

Pulled the cab on my Ford 6.0 diesel to replace the head studs and gaskets.
That was like a 10 video series...

This! I hate when the guy holds the part up to the camera for the first two minutes of a three minute video.

You have to sift through the chaff to get to the wheat, but some are quite good. Changed a dishwasher motor / pump with YT video. Great resource.
