Heard the cop didn't make it. RIP.

Why BLM thinks this will somehow improve things for them is beyond me to comprehend.

nah... my neighbor is a Japanese immigrant lady.
She has a big ol' Buddha statue in her garage, so she might be Buddhist.

From CNN:
Zeigler told reporters the officer was looking for four people in a car some time before 2 p.m. when the vehicle was spotted and a chase began. The chase ended about 2 miles from where the suspects were initially reported to a 911 dispatcher.

"As Capt. Melton was arriving, the suspects bailed from the vehicle and opened fire," the chief said. "I don't have any more details than that."

A total of 31 law enforcement officers have been shot to death while on duty this year, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. Six K-9 officers also have been fatally shot.

laws need to change.

I see the BLM on TV encouraging people to shoot cops.
encouraging/telling people to shoot cops (or another person) should be considered conspiracy to commit murder( or would it be soliciting?). anyway, its no different than these crazy wives that try to hire someone to kill their husband.

another one: (OT)
you live in the USA and pledge your allegiance to ISIS you should be deported, stripped of citizenship and never be allowed to come back into the US.

its time to get tough

whats gonna happen when someone snipes a BLM person at a protest.

its just a matter of time before the police stop responding to calls in certain areas, and I don't blame them. that or they will go in like the military going into iraq

And we can blame the idiot in the WH for the bloodshed!

It's a shame that for some of us no mater what issue is in consideration it is all the President's fault. Carring on policy situations from earlier administrations, lingering social problems, what ever, it's all Obama's fault.

Between this simplistic view, coupled with both of our political parties choosing to focus of their parties interest over that of solving the countries problems. Challenging!

Cheers Richaed

It's funny how things get twisted. It those who have never been here. It was Kansas City Kansas. Just across the state line

I get the feeling Obama is indifferent about it, almost like he is for it. he gets angry at the REP's for saying he wont say Islamic terrorist but I see no emotion over cops getting killed. he should be doing something proactive to stop this.

That is the big picture, and it is a relavant one.

However, just a few incidents can sway the stats in a big way short term

Dallas, Baton Rouge attacks contribute to 72% increase in firearms-related police deaths in U.S. from last year
Firearms-related police deaths up 72% from last year - NY Daily News
Quote:

Tragic shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge have contributed to a 72% increase in firearm-related police deaths this year compared to 2015.

At least 31 officers have died in shootings nationwide this year — compared to 18 at this time in 2015, according to statistics by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
So when people think, hey......there has been a big increase recently.........well they have part of the picture right, a small snapshot anyway.
