i love meat!! its always my favorite part on the dinner plate.

but i think a portion size is 4 oz!! that is a steak the size of a deck of playing cards. you could eat that with a toothpick.

i grew up with rice and meat. my family is old as well. well the ones that dodged cancer. but we dont need that much meat. we dont "need" a two pound t-bone.

i think we (as a planet) just need to rethink food. it needs to me more local..ex. insane to fly garlic to sell here, when we grow it here.
we need to eat much less meat. our kidneys hate the protein overload anyways. it makes little sense to spend resources to grow food for our food. shrink down the cattle industry. eat more goat?

and bugs. i think bugs will be food of the future. there are millions of bugs and apparently they are great protein.

Growing food local is great in places like California. There are areas in Colorado that have a "growing season" that is less than a day. We grow a lot of wheat and cows around here. Not many (if any) commercial fields with carrots or corn. Sea food is real hard to get locally. It all has to be brought in unless you call lake fish seafood.

I think that "supermeat" would be great to feed people starving in other countries or criminals being incarcerated.

That said, most people are leery of GMO plants. I can't imagine there being a lot of warm acceptance of this.

BTW, is it just me or does "Supermeat" sound like a movie by Russ Meyer?
