LOL please write a reply to this request.

Okay. Here's your Friday fun.

Ms. Gogars neighbors are a family of 9 (yes 9). The oldest just turned 16 and got his driver's license so he's really excited about cars.

Here is his text to Ms. Gogar, with a geeeeenyoooooous idea:

"Hi (Ms. Gogar), I need some help. I need a car to use but we don't have any cars that I can drive at my disposal. I was wondering if we could come up with something where I could use one of your cars as long as I payed for it and took care of it. I'm not sure how often you use all of them but could you tell me if this is possible? We could work out something where I work and pay for it or just pay for it (meaning gas, cleaning, matience, and even insurance, etc) Best, (kid)"

Please write a nice reply for Ms. Gogar to send to the kid.

I've never met the kid in 2 years, but he likes to bounce his lacrosse ball on the side of their house all day long, so I recuse myself.

PS, if you decide in your reply to let the kid borrow a car, please fill me in as to which one of the cars we should let him "borrow." This is the list of his neighbors' cars that the new 16 year old driver wants to drive.

2014 Panamera 4S
2013 Jaguar XKR
2012 Rover HSE Sport Supercharged
2008 BMW X5 4.8

Gogar 07-22-2016 05:35 PM

Hey there is till there isn't, bud.

RANDY P 07-22-2016 05:37 PM

"Sure kid! Take the range rover, here's the keys - I have a case of whiskey in the back, leave it alone...."

Eeh, offer to help find him a cheap car...

LEAKYSEALS951 07-22-2016 05:38 PM

Seeing that 3 of the 4 cars are most likely maintenance warantee nightmares and the fourth of the cars (the panamera) really needs the new updated version and will have it's own issues, the following it true:
You are welcome to ANY of Mr. Gogar's cars for FREE!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gogar :D

Dear (Ms Goger's neighbor),
How nice of you to write. Please feel free to borrow any car you'd like. We will leave the keys in them all and....Pffft...don't worry about the gas.

Charles Freeborn 07-22-2016 06:03 PM

Yep, craigslist.... Oh, and no.

I'm sorry but my insurance does not allow non-family drivers but I will help you find a car you can afford.

First: how close are you to eldest son #1's parents? Real tight, maybe know each other's names or wouldn't recognize each other on the street?

Second: do you want to repeat this 8 more times?

There must be some relationship or the kid wouldn't think to ask... ?

Whoa now wait a minute. That's a Honda Super Cub. I restored one that my dad bought when he was in the Air Force. I'd love to have some of the original badges and stuff.

fanaudical 07-22-2016 07:13 PM

Sounds like "no texting" might be a deal breaker on that Mercedes...

pwd72s 07-22-2016 07:16 PM

"Would the Jaguar be suitable?"

Bill Douglas 07-22-2016 07:17 PM

You've got an old porch he can use. It's not like it's a new car, or anything valuable.

cstreit 07-22-2016 07:17 PM

Dear neighbor,

I would be happy to accommodate. I suggest regular monthly payments of (Car Value /24 ) for 24 months. After 24 months you may drive the car at your leisure.

ossiblue 07-22-2016 07:59 PM

Dear (kid),

It was so sweet of you to think of me as someone who might assist you in your dilemma. Since we live in Colorado, perhaps you can give me a bit of of what you've been smoking and I will bake you some delicious brownies as I hate to see young people damage their lungs.

As far as the cars, none of them are really "available." I drive the Panamera, Mr. Gogar drives the Jag, the Rover is really too complex for a new driver, and the BMW has a sound system that allows Mr. Gogar to block out the noise of a lacrosse ball hitting the side of a house.

Again, it was sweet of you to have me in mind, but I'm afraid that Craigslist might be a better source for your transportation needs. Congratulations on your newly acquired driving privilege.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Gogar
