Warped admissions:
Tonight- an admission
I posted a pic of my first motorized piece of machinery to Gogar's thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1469242362.jpg My father bought it for me. He paid $50, to which I am greatly thankful. Mine wasn't in such good shape. The fairing was gone, and the seat was duct tape. It was 20 years old, but who cared, it was gas powered and I was unbeatable! Well- until my next store neighbor bought a brand spanking new 1983 moped. Van Halen hadn't even released 1984 yet. His was new. It was faster, sleeker, and sexier. More importantly, the memory etched into my mind was him passing me with a neighborhood girl on his backseat laughing at me as they passed my underpowered relic piece of garbage! The thought never escaped my mind, until tonight- when I finally decided to google his awesome steed of a moped. Ironicallty, If I could choose between the two, I would ditch the girl, AND restore my HONDA! And without further ado... here is (was) his steed of awesomeness....... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1469242705.jpg and so... I expose the black beast of greatness I was so ashamed of... Let this be a lesson to myself, NEVER, to handicap myself again with thoughts of inferiority!!!! LOL!!! :D |
I had a Honda Passport for a few years when I lived in Newport RI (early 80s) - best thing ever...it was a 'tail machine'.

Funny story, worthwhile lesson!
