Question concerning Outlook on my IPhone
 

I have several emails addresses on my iPhone and the past week it says I have 1 unread for my work email but I can't find any that have been unread. I've gone through every email and even on my work computer. All email files have been open but it still shows a (1) Unread. What is going on here?

(and yes I have powered it down a few times!)

I use Exchange as well. It is synced to my computer and outlook. The only way I could get rid of the phantom email is to delete that account on my iPhone and then put it back. The actual emails are on the email server so I don't loose anything except that phantom email.

If you are using a Exchange email that is all you have to do. It is a pain and another phantom will reappear in a few weeks. If you just ignore it eventually it will change to 2 or more phantom emails.

Typically something flagged as SPAM that the server is not dealing with correctly.

If you reboot the device and go straight to mail often you'll find basically blank mail with a sent date from 1969.

I ignore them.
