A guy locally is looking to sell this; IIRC, it's a '79. 96k, really clean.

Key to value: does EVERYTHING work? Beside checking motor, trans, etc; AC, interior, and rag top are very expensive.

Most of the ones I've seen are in the $7k-10K range, but that does look clean. If everything works and it comes with both tops (hard/soft), maybe +/- $12k-$15k?
I've seen some listed in the $20k's, but I doubt many actually trade hands at those prices. YMMV...

Clean car, looks nice. Keep in mind it had all of 180 hp when new and is a 3400 lb car so it's a bit glacial.

If it were a 560SL, it would be around $13k.
So, less than that

They seem to have been trading at the same values for years now. A hard top would be a bonus.

It has two: one in the body color, another in black

Probably $2K worth of rubber bits that dry out, vacuum lines, rust under battery tray, etc. so, hard to tell from a few pics. I'd guess $5 - $8k depending on, well, a bunch of stuff.

In rustbelt areas a rusty front bulkhead would be a major concern. Every one I looked at in the UK a decade ago was hiding that

Buddy just picked one up for $5k in decent shape. Not as nice looking as this one, but mechanically solid.

Did you notice that the crashed SL was right outside of an opticians office? Maybe the driver should have collected new glasses before getting behind the wheel

I paid $1600 for this Euro 84' 380 SL. Granted it needs some work, but for the price I can't complain. Wife seems to like it, but will need to repaint soon.

That looks like a nice one. Prices are all over the map, from zero to maybe mid-teens(?) I don't really track them and only have a sample of one that I've sold.

Showroom condition cars w low miles and records have a different market, I've seen a few perfect 560s that went for over $20k. :cool:

At 3,400 lbs and 180 HP that's a wide decision. No one wants to be passed by a Lada.

My 1975 I sold for $10k with 80k miles. Everything worked and in excellent condition. One thing to make sure has been replaced are the front subframe bushings. Other than that, was really easy to work on and parts weren't all that expensive.

The rims are actually polished and then left to oxidize back to a perfect approximation of the OG finish. First I've seen this and I love it. :)

Check out the tech articles on Pelican parts on repair / replace for the 450.

I talked to the seller today; he sold it last week for $9500

Yes it is easy, but the cost is about $1500 for a good set of the Euro lights. I wish I had them for mine, as they were there originally.
