Beats the heck out of 10°, days at a time, 4' of frikkin snow and no sunlight and gray / dreary / miserable for months with not a single green growing thing to be seen! I'd take Texas heat six days a week and twice on Sunday (but yea that's hot).

Is that where you are? Nice subdivision. I used to cycle past it all the time.

I think we are up to 30+ days of over 90 degrees this year, but you throw in 75%+ humidity, and it doesn't allow alot of stuff to get done outside when I come home from work.

Highest dewpoint in Ohio is being reported at 61F. With 90 degrees F, this would be an RH of 38%, with a "feels like" of 90F.

My outside temp at 9:20PM is 91.2F with a dewpoint of 77F. This is an RH of 63%, with a "Feels like" temp of 105F.

Earlier, it was 99F at 5:50PM, with a dewpoint of 78F. This is an RH of 55%. Feels like was 117F.

The humidity is one reason I wanted the hell out of Houston. We hit 60% here this week and that's way too much in the desert!

James,

Actually in Fulbrook which just on the other side of the trace from Weston Lakes.

And this area is definitely cyclist central on weekends, they be everywhere in large numbers.

It has seemed extra humid to me this summer, and except for a few days last week, it's been quite hot for the past few weeks. We've also had very little breeze. It's been a kind of miserable summer, but there have been worse summers here over the past 20 years that I've lived here. Once you get used to it, it's not that bad. If you can find space in the shade in the morning or evening it's not bad. The thing is, we live with 2-3 months (maybe 4) of uncomfortably hot, humid weather and then have 8-9-10 months of great weather.

We're having to go further and further out to have safe rides. Fulshear is soon going to be an issue. I've abandoned riding inside Loop 610

I actually called a TV weatherman when he was talking about 102% humidity. He actually got on the phone and explained it to me. I was thinking 100% was the top of the scale, but it is relative humidity.

102% is just wrong. 100* and 100% humidity is evil.

Porsche-O-Phile 08-07-2016 08:49 PM

How the heck do you get 102% humidity? At 100% it's precipitating.

I lived there from July- November in 2012. I thought it was getting a bit nippy in the mornings by november. Come spend a winter in PHX, you'll never want to leave! :cool:SmileWavy

The absolute highest dew point recorded in the region and therefore the world (of which I am aware) was 95° at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia at 3 p.m. on July 8, 2003

The middle-east is super hot, but the humidity is surprisingly high! When I lived in Pakistan, the dewpoint in the summer was in the 80's. It would only get to around 112-115 during the day. In the "spring" it would reach mid 120's. Highest I saw was 126.
