Today this thread can come full circle, from Basic training to Graduation. That was fast. So proud of him and his classmates, so fortunate he was able to survive the class work and navigate his way through all four years without a scratch. Just watched the livestream of him walking up with his diploma and saluting the President. It’s rough not being able to attend but they did a great job and the President sent them off with a great address.
He has 60 days of leave before his 5 year commitment begins in earnest down in Fort Benning, GA for Ranger School.

Crazy fast.

My best to your son. His accomplishment, just the start, is a big deal.

Congratulations to him! Another class joins the long gray line. And good luck to him at Ranger School. Hopefully he won’t be there in the dead of winter.

Congrats. Sorry you were not able to be there. So much to be proud of. Amazing job to all! Enjoy the leave time with him. Lot's of work ahead. I'm waiting to hear about my son's graduation in July from his current school. He's out of the field hopefully on June 20th. Sounds like maybe the in person stuff will not happen :-(

So awesome. I watched the ceremony on TV while cooking breakfast this morning. It was sad that there were so few people there, but still such a great moment.
