A few notes from my daughter and son in law's trip to Ireland. They were away for two weeks and did a ton of driving. They rented a Skoda Citigo and it was flawless. It was a little bigger than a smart car.
A cousin of my sil and her husband rented a Landrover Discovery. They were on the way to a christening of their new baby and first of all got a flat tire. Next the engine started smoking and had it towed to a garage. Rental co said they would look after it and help came 5 hours later. I cannot imagine that with a new baby.
Daughter and sil during the two weeks attended a wedding, a christening and visited an aunt of the sil who was in her final days dying of cancer age 52. Otherwise a good trip.
Oh yes the wedding. The venue was a park and three large tents for the wedding reception. Seeing that it was remote there was only a power generator. The load from the heaters and the dj was too much for the generator and it shut down. So the choice came down to heat or the dj. The dj won out and they partied on. Fortunately there was no rain. :)
