"real" 928 mechanic in (or near)San Diego

I tried using the search for this and have not found anything in the last 5 years. Does anyone know of a no schitt 928 mechanic still in business in the San Diego area? I have had some experiences with local shops.. It seems like they have all retired or moved away. Thank you in advance.

I don't know where Greg Brown lives in CA, but he is worth the drive from anywhere, if you have serious work that needs to be done.

BTW, Rennlist has the best 928 forum. Lots of contributors.

When we had our 930 and both 914's we always used Black Forest. I stop by there about once a year now and most of the mechanics I knew back when are still there. Mark Kinninger used to be their race engine and he built up a huge stroked 928 years ago for a local PCA racer, something like 5 or 6 liters if I remember correctly.

I'm way far north of SD but many of the 944 guys down south swear by Black Forest.

Thank you for all for the inputs. I have used dieters and black forest in the past for 911, 924, 944 items. Since I am new to the 928 world I wanted a true 928 guy on the level of MrMerlin or better to take a deep look into my cars soul and answer a couple of questions.

I thought a 928 was just two 944's glued together? ;)
