I always thought this was such a powerful opening scene, as actor Dean Jagger revisits his abandoned WWII airfield, reminiscing the ghosts, and then about 2:40, the B17 fires up! I wish it were longer and in HD sound!

Wow - that opening scene is really good. Not a spoken word and you WANT to see the movie after this! Just pulls you in!

By the way, to the person who rated this thread with one star... Any thread with piston engine airplanes starting merits at least a 4. You sir need to shred your man card.
