LA Bimmers 335d

I did it today, put a deposit down on a 2011 BMW 335d at LA Bimmers. I 've been looking at them since my Prius was totaled in June. The price they're asking is $15,450 and it has 82k miles, sounds like a good deal to me. However, I'll look at the car before finalizing the deal. Right now I'm 340 miles a way in Minden, NV.

They look like great cars with 265hp and 425 ft/lb torc. Didn't really like the Prius even though it saved me a lot of money. But, the BMW gets 36mpg and only cost $90 more per 6 months for insurance.

Has anyone else owned on of these cars? Also, I'll probably be in Glendale next week end. I'm going to a college football game this week end.

Glendale has lots of shysters living in the city now. It isn't what is was 20-30 years ago. Not PC to say, but be really careful, those guys likes them BMWs.

With 80k+ miles, I'd say it's an average deal. The options list makes a difference as well (Sport/Premium? Nav? Comfort Access? etc). If it's bare-bones, I'd likely pass.

Also, be mindful of the potential issues with the 335d. IIRC, the biggest problem with them is/was excessive carbon build-up in the intake, which is not cheap to fix/clean.
If you haven't already, do a search on "335d carbon" and settle in for some reading. I would probably consider one if it's a CPO car, but would want to sell it before going out of warranty. YMMV...

Coworker has one. FAST. But no stick shift, so total no-go for me.

Here's one with M-Sport package, Nav, and similar miles (from a dealer) @ $13,500: 2011 335d

That looks like a good deal. I'm thinking about cancelling my deal though, Glendale, CA is just too far away. I might try and get one from the Bay area, Sacramento, or my area. Also, thinking I'd like sale brown leather.

Glendale is too far, but the Bay area/Sac isn't???

EDIT: just google mapped it. Apparently people live outside of Las Vegas? Who knew?

Plenty of pelicans here in SoCal that could probably go check it out for you.
