My M3 uses ATF instead of normal manual transmission fluid.

I used ATF in the Transmission of my Dirt Bikes for many years...........Highly recommended...Type F also works.......

I add it to my fuel tank to help me roll coal .

The sprag clutch on a Robinson R-44 is filled with Dexron III ATF.

I do not trust the 'all purpose any tranny synthetic fluids'.

There. I said it. I feel better now.

You can use conventional ATF in an a833 if it shifts hard with regular gear oil.

That is sacrilege and you are to be excommunicated, sir!

Hey, I use regular gear oil but it states right in the manual you can use it, especially in cold climates. I only drive that car in the warm as it has no top or heater. Could have used it in my old Ramcharger though. Was like stirring molasses in the winter.

The hydraulic auto levers on my RV use ATF. It was suggested by the Coachmen forum that I use the Mobil 1 version since it sits a lot.

I think the old Civic used 10W40 in the sloshbox.

I'm thinking that this whole thread is one big win for trannies everywhere.

I was recently fortunate enough to hit a deer, which destroyed my radiator and ATF cooler. While the loss of fluid was tragic, my insurance company covered everything, including fresh ATF and a new cooler. It was an amazing score...

I thought it was BATFE..
