Yet another car scam - "Flip Nicklin"
Some guy is posting fake car and motorcycle ads and using a fake gmail account, posing as a real person named Flip Nicklin. Even use his photo and links to his work website at National Geographic. Then run a scam through some fake shipping website.
Thought I'd post this so when they try it again and people google the name this comes up as a warning. (ps not my first post, changed names as part of an internet house cleaning project) |
Bump for more eyes now that my new name etc has been approved (thanks mods :))
|
I will hand the car over to whoever puts a stack of non-sequential $100 bills. I will not deal with a shipping agent, unless I contact them.
|
And here's the fake shipping company: uShip Door2Door | Ready, Set, Done
Conveniently named something very similar to a real company, uship door-to-door. |
Hi guys, I guess is not the same person with Mr. Flip Nicklin (flipnicklinphoto@gmail.com) because I dealt with him two weeks ago and I received the car. It is a good person and serious. Everything went smooth. We used uShip Auto company.

Any update on this scam?
I have seen this scam in another location. Have you seen any additional info on this scam?
|
Credibility of the Nicklin post?
Can anybody provide additional insights or credibility on Flip Nicklin? It seems that there are two opposing perspectives here regarding Flip Nicklin.

Plymouthguy I just saw your DM. I hope you didn't send any money haha
For some reason, antonsan with his 1 post and broken English doesn't come off as legit :) |
