Yes...it's the latest scam

I stopped selling Datsun Z parts about 6-7 years ago after I got into Porsches. I had a guy this Spring send me an email through Ebay, telling me about the problems he was having with some turbo ZX fiberglass hood vents. He told me that he just got around to opening the box (after moving and having his garage in storage for a few years) I had sent him in 2009, and he was disappointed that 2 of the hold down clips were broken. I had sold him the vents for $30 plus shipping ($45 total).

I told him that if he would have seen the problem when he got the box, I would have done something about it then, but now ?.....7 years later ? I told him "I'm surprised you have the gall to contact me after 7 years, and expect me to do something about the problem that you probably created from bouncing the box around when you moved......forget it."

I would say it is more of a bad buyer than a bad sale. You are doing more than I suspect you should.

Never forget that those of us who subscribe to the "Do The Right Thing" school-of-thought are often easy prey for those who do not.
