help with survey

My son is in his final marketing class at Georgia State and they have a group project with Acura to help develop a marketing campaign for one of their new sports cars and needs help with this survey. If you would be so kind as to take a minute or two to fill this out. And weird, but the age choices stop at 45!, but if you're over that, just select that one.

Done.

I thought the same thing about some of the questions. Maybe you can store different chip maps on your phone in the future?

I almost left all of those blank, but picked sport mode(s)

Weird that it topped out at 45 years old. I am a ragtop guy, and that was not an option either.

I did that in college too and really enjoyed it. Back then we had to accost unsuspecting students and faculty as they walked from class to class and have them fill out a paper copy of the survey as we watched in order to get enough responses. I think there's a future for this interweb thingy.

Part of the class is learning how to draft the questions. The final grade will reflect how well the questions and options were selected to elicit useful information relevant to the research he is trying to do. Hearing that the questions or responses seemed counterintuitive to the respondent is good feedback for the student.

I chose "mini van" as my idea of a performance vehicle since I'm a 45 y.o. "old fart".

Apparently college kids think anyone over 45 doesn't know what performance is (no, not like that) or perhaps is too old to drive at all. This old mofo completed their survey in spite of this intended or unintended slight.

Done... now I need to go crank up the model T.

You do realize you probably messed up their survey by by presenting it to a bunch of grumpy old gearheads, right?

Or

Maybe that is your plan

Done but as noted by others, really odd question and answer pairings.

I was forced to leave a couple of them blank because they were non sensical.

It doesn't appear that Acura reviewed the questions or choices of answers.

Acura can afford the best market researchers in the world. This is a partnership between a huge company looking for maybe a little insight into the youth market but really training the next generation to excel at an elite institution like GS. It's early in the semester. I'll bet his final survey doesn't look anything like this one.

They did actually! But like MRM stated, it's about learning right now and group collaboration, etc..

Accura won't like my answers. As far as the "what constitutes a performance vehicle" section, I left 'em all blank. Nothing there said "performance" to me. Not that it matters...a glorified Honda is not on my buy list.

Years ago, I received a phone call asking if I would participate in a survey. The female caller was very nice and quick to laugh. She began by asking some background questions to fit me into the proper demographic. When she asked my age, I responded, "46." She then got kind of a sheepish tone and said that I was too old for the survey. The sponsors only wanted people 18-45. It didn't matter that I was only two months into my 46th year, she didn't want my input.

I think this is the same for Acura. Drivers beyond 45 are not in their marketing demographic. It wasn't your son's choice, really. This likely explains why we "elders" don't see things like GPS, Bluetooth, or rear cameras as items related to performance cars.

Well, that was one way to feel old. Good luck to your kid, sounds like an interesting project.
