Sorry to hear. I saw Buckwheat's show several times 25-30 years ago. What energy he had!!

This song always brought the house down. Sorry I couldn't find a live video.

Always dug that coonass accordion music. Saw his band at a fairly sketchy bar in Louisiana about 20 years ago, heck of a party.

Damn! That brings back some old memories. We had him play at the fraternity house several times during the early 80's at LSU..... RIP...

Truthfully, the memories typically only include the first hour or two of the evening....

That song, Zydeco Boogaloo, was number 6 or 7 on the music playlist I listened to when I ran. Twelve to 30 minutes into the run was the sweet spot for me, endorphins were flowing good, and between the music and the hormones I was high as a kite.

I saw him in a bar with maybe 100 people in the audience. I wonder what kind of life it must be to be on the road all the time, playing your heart out for a few dozen people night after night. His band had 5 or 6 members. They obviously weren't getting rich. I must be grueling. I wonder why they do it.

What a great performer Buckwheat was. Saw him live several times many years ago. I'm so sad for our loss. RIP dear soul !

Great music. Never heard of him...but I've always loved the celebratory flavor of Zydeco music.

Saw him week after Mardi 2014 in a small club outside Philly and he tore it up. Will miss him greatly.

Why do it so long? 'Cause its what he knew and he was GOOD at it.

Oh man! Lit up the stage at a club in Chicago.

For those hot summer backyard party's, highly suggest On A Night Like This. The girls will be grabbing any sap ugly chap for dancing
