The Cascade Mall Shooting...

... just got deeply personal for me. My good friend and coworker for over 30 years, Wilton "Chuck" Eagan, has been identified as the man killed by this shooter. I've known him almost my entire Boeing career. We travelled the world together. We sat damn near right next to each other when we were home in the office.

I've never known a more humble, gracious, and giving man in my entire life. Chuck was the kind of guy we all aspire to someday being, the kind of man who blessed every life he touched. R.I.P., good buddy.

Sorry for your loss.

He sounds like a great guy and will be missed.

I read his occupation in the paper yesterday and was wondering if you might have known him. That's awful. Mojo sent.

rattlsnak 09-25-2016 07:06 PM

That does hit home. Sorry for your loss..

When did this happen? I haven't heard a word about it?

Now everybody on this Board has been directly touched by terrorism.

LakeCleElum 09-25-2016 07:26 PM

Very sorry for you personal loss Jeff....I saw where they airlifted to Harborview and tried hard to save him. News tonight said Chuck and his wife were running from the scene. Wife tripped and fell. He went back to help her when he got shot 3 times.....Tragic...

Not sure what the answer is to stopping these senseless mass killings, but this hits very close to home for us......

That's terrible and I'm sorry for your personal loss. There is far too much senseless violence in this country and every event impacts some people very directly, sorry it was you this time. :(

These senseless acts do ripple out to impact far too many people.

So sorry to hear that this hit so close to home for you Jeff.

If there is a memorial fund, or a charity his wife chooses, please let us know.

All the best.
