And now we have the luckiest Mustang driver

Happened in my neighborhood this morning on my route to work. I missed it by about a half hour. Speed limit on this road is 25 and traffic is typically heavy enough that you won't even hit that. Additionally the car is resting a few feet before a very popular cycling trail for commuters. Any earlier and this could have been tragic.

and the driver...

Geez - I can only imagine the speed required to tear a car apart like that....

Reckless in the extreme

Holy crap! That damage didn't come from 25mph. Did he hit a tree? And where's the rest of the car?

Looks like a 100+ mph crash. Did he go into the trees?

Hit a metal light pole, the other half is 100ft away according to the witnesses on our neighborhood blog.

Any word on the driver. I couldn't find anything on the 'net about it.

Driver is in the second photo! This happened in my neighborhood and didn't even make the local news outside of our blog.

Wow, crazy, are you guys too far from the center of town to make it worth it for the news folks to come out? Or maybe no one called it in. You'd sure think "Street racing mustang totals car on major thoroughfare" would have been a great headline.

'A good yard sale,' mused Bob as he checked his Tinder profile 'but certainly not a great yard sale.'

The driver is the red arrow or yellow?

Freaking amazing. The forces to rip that car apart should have done the same to the occupants. Maybe the driver is Russian and full of vodka, lots of tube videos out there where those guys just bounce off hard objects and keep drinking. Maybe that's what he's reaching for, and his still smoldering cig.
