				1990 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe

![]() I remember when someone at work had this. It was supposedly some bad-ass car. In retrospect, maybe like that 80s Saleen Mustang or Grand National, a rare beacon of performance in the dead zone of the 80s ? Looking at the numbers, 210hp on 3500lbs That 315lb torque number seems high, so maybe that was the point? What do you remember about this car? Had a few customers with them , I remember thinking they were somewhat quick , at least compared to a regular slug 3.8 thunder chicken

I had one. It was the 35th anniversary edition. It was one of the best cars I ever had. I sold it for my old SC.

The car was pretty fast. In the time I had it I had no major problems with it. The clutch and slave cylinder went at 60,000 miles.

Nice cars...basically an american take on the 6 series BMW. Saleen Mustang was the one I drooled over in high school in that era...just bought this '88 with 17,000 original miles.

When I was 16, our neighbors left on a month long vacation overseas. They hired me to feed their dogs. They left a T-bird exactly like the one below in the driveway, with the keys on the hook by the back door.....
