Anyone watching "The Man in the High Castle" on Amazon

Wow, very interesting alternate outcome of WWII. The United States is divided by Japan and Germany and what life is like for Americans and of course the resistance movement.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B00RSI5EHQ?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=72832344530&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14601612997208853157&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_372lh177vx_b

I really like it.

Anyone else watching? I apologize if this has already been discussed, it did not come up in a search.

Some of "Man in the High Castle" was filmed in Roslyn, Washington; closest town to Lake Cle Elum. I went to dinner with the movie set one night.

You may remember another show filmed here: Northern Exposure:

I have the book but haven't read it, I just know the basic premise; I am actually going to watch this series first since I'd read the book in a few days but I'll be able to watch this for longer and I don't want to spoil anything.

I watched the first episode and thought:

"eh.. hm this could be done right... I hope they don't get crappy with it... I dunno..."

but after watching the second episode I left thinking:

"g'damn this is intense."

hooked.

Been Watching....

Started watching very early on. I have Amazon Prime and watch on my Kindle.

Very well done, but now in Episode 3 or 4, is starting to drag out the plot.

Will be watching it as it is released.

I friggin knew that was the same building...we pulled up the old Northern Exposure pictures and were trying to compare the angles. Thank you for confirming this.

I watched the first couple of episodes about a month ago when they first got released, then started in again when the whole season got released on Nov. 20.

I finished all 10 episodes, now I'm watching it again from the start, because I missed a lot the first go round. It is unbelievably good TV, IMHO.

Obergruppenführer Smith reminds me of a Roman Emperor. Vicious and vulnerable. Absolutely in love with his family, especially his wife and son.

Just finished the last episode last weekend. I enjoyed it, though my wife didn't like the ending at all. Classic Philip K. Dick book.

I missed this thread the first time around. A couple of guys at work had mentioned it a while back. I just recently started watching and am only just about to finish the 3rd episode. I find the premise very interesting, and so far this seems fairly well done.

It's based on the story written by Phillip K Dick, same guy that wrote Blade Runner.

There has been some really interesting points in the show so far that weren't surprising, but were unexpected.

Something that I found interesting, but not terribly related to the rest of the show or this thread. In the episode that I was watching earlier tonight, they played the song "Strange Fruit" as done by Billy Holiday. I've listened to a lot of Billy Holiday and Etta James and the like and had never heard "Strange Fruit". Wow, that's some powerful imagery.
