What would you do?

Got a new neighbor a few months ago, never met her, and she's renting. My "spidey senses" have tingled, and I'm pretty sure there is something "not right" going on. Not much activity at the house except every single week an 18 wheeler drops by (most of the time with the trailer attached), on one afternoon, and then again the following day. Sometimes the neighbor is home, usually not, and the visit is usually brief. If she's home, she might meet him outside, if not, the driver goes around back and might stay as long as 30-45 minutes inside. I have no idea if "whatever" is comng or going, but I've been around the block a time or two to know that something is "up" :(. What would you do? I'm thinking nothing at this point...but I don't like it.

I'd mind my own business.

Bring cash.

You worried b/c the neighbor is screwing a trucker?

Yeah, that probably doesn't happen anywhere else.

But I don't want that schit going on in my 'hood. Normally, I don't care, but....

john70t 10-06-2016 03:58 PM

(I'd put tiger traps and claymores on that side.)

Unless it's problem, it's not a problem.
If it is a problem, then it is definitely a serious problem to be addressed immediately. Gloves off.

She could be serving as a mob drug-relay-point.
Or she could be paying her rent as a trucker ho.
Or storing goods temporarily.

Best to look and watch for now.

Drop in to borrow a cup of sugar or flour. At least that's how they would do it in Mayberry or Hooterville.:D

ckelly78z 10-06-2016 04:47 PM

Let the poor guy get some road head away from home.

KFC911 10-06-2016 04:59 PM

She's not home most visits...
The trucker always visits on consecutive days...yesterday/today he was sans trailer...backed in her driveway both times for a 10 minute visit.
I'm just watching for now...

Lol....excellent advice!

You couldn't even get a rise out of the police with that story. Generally speaking, people who are doing drug deals don't come out of the house to speak on the front lawn.

Keep your garage doors closed and increase your security. Do not be looking out windows in an indiscreet way. Don't assume you know what is going on.

Dave's not here, man.

john70t 10-06-2016 05:04 PM

1). Do nothing.
2). Figure out what she is doing.
3). Determine if it is legal.
4). Do the same thing, only better and bigger this time.
5). Profit.

That five minute meeting outside at the truck was a one time thing. The house is being used as a drop point...I'm pretty sure of it. Maybe I'll call the owners and let them know, or I'm pretty sure my LEO tennant would make them think twice if he just happens to visit my house...on consecutive days for a few weeks of course :).

I'm doing nothing...for now. I CAN make them realize they've picked the wrong house however.

WPOZZZ 10-06-2016 05:40 PM

He's dropping a load. Don't know if it's in the toilet or in the tenant. Maybe both.

Rikao4 10-06-2016 05:47 PM
