The Court Jester
I tried reasoning with the R Gruppe, but they didn't listen. Maybe I was wrong to try, Maybe it wasn't even my place to try......Maybe I should have known better than to try.... How can you trust someone who gets mad and calls you an @$$hole, Tabbydoll, Pathetic, Loser, Sick and a whole host of other things when you say something they don't like. There is no reasoning there, there is no so reflectiveness there. There is just the reactive logic of striking back that an animal has. They perceive it as an attack instead of someone who cares enough to try and say something when he sees something thats off center. Or even to see it as having fun when it all started out.
Now I ain't Geezus, and have my faults, but I have come down a long road in which I have been able to put things together. I am painfully aware that our time here is mighty short and we all live on a banana peel. I can see the beauty and wonderment in a single blade of grass. And know the pain of it that my time to enjoy it is short. In knowing this it has become apparent that taking ones self too seriously is not important, that the central thing to know about yourself is that you LOVE. That is the only thing that you can take with you when you go. All else is folly.... and you might say I am the court jester in pointing that out..... |

Forget the R Gruppies, and go your own way. As you say, life is short. (I liked the part about the "banana peel".) Now I know you despise any Porsches made after '74 (pwd72s told me so)....but if you should ever come to own a SC, I think the SCWDP would be pleased to have you as a member. While it's true we are a dangerous and subversive group of individuals, I don't think any of us have a R Gruppie attitude. Attitude? Hell....we don't even have a stinkin' membership card!
