Favorite travel booking website?

Haven't traveled in a while, work used to send me around the U.S. about twice a year but that duty has fallen off. Then we did the long distance relationship thing for a couple years but just booked at the airlines website (Jet Blue to Alaska) and just stayed at each others place.

Need to plan a trip next year to daughters graduation in Eugene, probably fly in/out of Portland and rent a car, after graduation drive up to WA. and check some places out.

Logic seem that booking air and rental car together will get you a discount, yes/no?

Back when I was booking for work travel I remember using Expedia a lot, they seem to still be a major player.
Then there is Priceline, Travelovity, Kayak, and others... any other sites I should check out?

You are correct about Southwest, they only book at their own website, I will check there when we start thinking of booking (graduation is in June, probably book around February)

I was going to say for a trip like that just book through Southwest and get the "I wanna get away" fare. You can add the car there or book on your own.

Last time I used Expedia, I was immediately bombarded with email spam from everywhere. They wasted no time selling my address. I would rather pay more than have to put up with that crap.
