Loving it. No watering the lawn when Mother Nature drops free water on you.

You guys farther north are lucky. We got a few light showers that lasted maybe five minutes. Things sure did smell good afterwards though. Supposedly we're going to have a la nina winter, so I'm not very encouraged. The cloud layer made for a really beautiful sky.

Sorry, Dean. I washed my car yesterday afternoon.

Why?

You California folks must really be enjoying your drought.

We got 2" of rain on Friday, and forcast for another 2" over the next few days......quit you're whining !

Yep there is a funny mind set here in the Southwest deserts, folks here are bummed about running out of water. Yet don't seem to like rain.
Here in Az a bit of clouds and a little rain are a storm.
Seemingly anticipated with dread.

This area is growing on me after a couple of years, but the regard for rain remains puzzeling to me. We did have a wet monsoon season for a desert. And a little humidity in the air felt so good to me. As well as some clouds occasionally to give some Deminsion to the sky, nice.

I guess it's all about what you are used to.

Cheers Richard

In the Seattle area, light showers last for five months.

October in Portland has so far been the wettest on record, like, that's ever been recorded.

But the good part is, my shower head blasts 5 gal/min and I pretty much take naps in there. And I flush the toilet whenever I'm bored, and it is a real flush thankyouverymuch.

Dantilla. I remember well the "light showers" in the Seattle area from when I was stationed at Fort Lewis many years ago. People told me I'd grow webbed feet, and I actually applied for a job with Boing at the time I got out. But - in the end I told myself, "I'm going back to sunny southern California." Been happy with the decision ever since.
