2016 World Series

Kluber was amazing but the ump sure did have a liberal strike zone. Kluber scheduled to pitch game 4 and maybe 7 if needed. Two homers from Perez for the Indians. Impressive. A good game if your an Indians fan.

I couldn't believe the announcers missed that the Indians almost had a triple play when the bases were loaded. They were all gaga over the missed double play, but if you look at the video replay of it, the runner on first is almost all the way to second base before he turns around to get back to first. There looked to be more than enough time to throw to second and then on to first to get both the runners out.
Good game, I hope the Cubs can put some runs up tonight.

Cubbies made too many pitching changes, IMHO.

Love Joe Madden but.....

Any see this the game! Its like a media blackout against the Indians. Kluber even got a hit!!!

intakexhaust 10-30-2016 10:38 AM

^LOL

Bars were charging $100 $250 cover. Game tickets now substantially dropped (yet absurd costly). Rack upon rack of Cubs T-shirts in every and any type of retail establishment. Must be millions of them. At the auto parts and hardware stores - I suppose when they clearance them out at 50 cents each, might pick up a few. Look handy as shop rags.

I turned the channel over to the game just in time to see the 3 run homer in the 6th or 7th inning to put the Indians up 7-1. Cubs fans looked rather dismayed......oh well, there is always next year !

I'm not pulling for either team... I'm just loving the coverage... it's like a celebration of the game itself.

And how about that camera work? Holy moly, it's phenomenal. I love seeing the slo-mo replays of the close plays.

I'd love for it to go the full seven games and be decided in the bottom of the ninth.

MOAR baseball, please!

Pretty good for whichever team wins - both have been in droughts for a long, long time. Personally I'd prefer the Cubs but I think the Indians deserve it more right now. They've been doing everything right. The Cubs are awesome on paper but are just too young and it looks like everyone (aside from their pitching veterans) is trying way too hard to be a hero.

They're a good team but I just don't know if they've got the discipline to get it done. Down 3-1 is pretty tough to bounce back from...

I think the Cubs win tonight and the Indians win at home in game 6.

Indians run wild on Lester, score early, get to their bullpen...
The Cubs have 6 starters under the age of 25, they will be a presence for a long time to come, I think this year is a trial by fire deal, they will be back.
Good series dominated by great pitching...

I love this attitude! It does seem like American has Baseball Fever right now, which is funny because 6 months ago all you heard was chants of "Cubs suck, Cubs fans suck, I hate the Cubs".

Now, it's a field full of kids on both teams (some of whom are friends) playing some damned good ball.

So far in the series, game 5 was the best.

Cubs have a pulse~

I've been a Clevaland sports fan for many, many years....it's just good to see how 2 of the city's teams have risen above the ashes to stardom, now, if we could only motivate those Browns.

Game 6 -
Cubs solid. Bittersweet if they can pull off the comeback in the final game.

Indeed an enjoyable series. Both teams playing the game like it should. Respectful to each other, cool with the interviews / fans.

As a Warrior fan, when Cleveland went up 3 games to 1, I had to wonder. What if?

pwd72s 11-02-2016 12:23 AM

A 7 game series...gotta love it. I'll be tuned in tomorrow...no favorite really, but I've enjoyed this hard fought series.

Gonna have to find a pub....no home TV....

The teams have been great...the fans not so much. Cleveland stands are filled with people waving signss with taunts towards the Cubbies (talkin' about the curse, talkin' about choking, etc). The stands at Wrigley? I didn't see a single anti-Cleveland sign anywhere.

We can see who the classy town is, even if both teams have been clean and steady.

This is hardball not figure skating. Ragging the other team is a time honored tradition dating back to the game of rounders at the turn of the previous century.

Go tribe.

Next time we go for a drive I'm throwing ball bearings under your wheels...

Lets go Cubbies!

Sitting in right field this year with a group of like minded individuals we enjoyed a good natured ribbing of JJ Reddick.

Hey right fielder! Is that your name or a venereal disease?

Watching a game at the old Rangers field when Ricky Henderson was playing left field. We had been riding him all day when a strong wind came and blew a guys straw hat onto the field. Play was stopped as Henderson retrieved the hat. As he walked over he pretended to stomp on the hat drawing more boos. Henderson walked to the outfield wall and handed the hat to the fan. Nice gesture, but we started in on him the next inning.
