I know, right? It's unfortunate that the name he preferred took on derogatory tone after his racing career. Never heard of him before I saw 'On Any Sunday' about 20 years ago, but like all of the people in the film, he looked like a happy man enjoying what he loves to do. Haven't heard a bad thing about the fellow since I've known who he was. Even Bruce Brown's commentary about him in the movie referred to his great personality and strength of character.

I used to see him in the pits at Ascot, didn't know him but my friends did.
I was in that movie covered in mud. I raced the next two years in that Elsinore GP and one year started front line in the 250 Expert class.

I'm sure Cal Clutterbuck of the Isles hears more than his share of off hand comments about his surname

New a girl in Oklahoma called Jo King. When she first told me her name, I thought it was a brush off.
There was a Japanese restaurant in London called OTOFUKU, maybe still there

We have some interesting names here. The Silva family had three boys: Hi-Ho, Sterling and Quick. I had a college classmate named Puanani Ting, Pua for short. Another college classmate was a cop and he had some good ones. One that comes to mind was a traffic stop of a Man Suk Yu.
