Never an official. But I've coached a few soccer teams. I always appreciate and thank the officials.

Often played both sides during HS football. I respected the refs a great deal. Could get away with a lot on the line, but they kept the games fair.

I umpired Little League and 13 to 15 year old baseball for over 20 years, 20 years ago!

When I was 15 I used to umpire Little League. The parents were brutal! I was umpiring a Majors All Star game and called out my cousin on a "called" third strike. He turned around and started slamming his bat on the ground. I almost threw him out of the game.
Luckily my uncle (his Dad) who had played in the minors for the Milwaukee Braves agreed with me, but my aunt was pissed for months.

Little league and the tots FB are the worst, I have tossed parents, fans and coaches. Never in HS or College. They tend to keep their dicks in their pants.
