The Godfather: Part III
I'm sorry but this movie isn't as bad as people say it is. Sure it bites off more than it can chew by having Michael seemingly take over the Vatican and Soffia Coppola delivers one of the worst, movie-ruining performances in cinematic history but there's a lot of good stuff in there. Andy Garcia is great as Sonny's bastard son Vincent as he tries to gain Michael's favor and find a place in the Corleone family. Michael's confession to the Cardinal of how he had Fredo murdered is one of the best scenes of the series and don't forget the classic 'just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in' line. Sure it's not Godfathers I or II but this movie is needlessly dumped on. Who's with me?

anything with Eli Wallace is good.

Eli Wallace...one of the true unsung heroes of cinema.

He's great in that movie as is Talia Shire. Their scenes together are great.

When you compare it to I and II its not exactly fair. Perhaps two of the greatest movies of all time? Yes thats open to debate. No matter how many times I watch them I still appreciate them for the gems they are.
In II, the scene where young Anthony shows his allegiance to his father and wont kiss Diane Keaton as she is fearful of Michael walking in is priceless. The look on Michael's face as he calmly shuts the door on her is just masterful. Bone chilling. |

Oh, you guys mean "Eli Wallach". Come on, guys, if you are such fans you should at least get the name right. Jeez... |
Both the Godfather and the original Star Trek series enjoy the same rare "curse"...
The sequel (part II) was the best in the series :D:):D |
