What we perceive is based on the electro-magnetic spectra. Its very possible that of total reality, EM only makes up 1/6 of it. If you are born without eyes you will never know what color is...

well understanding the 95+% of the universe that we call dark
ie dark matter and dark energy
may be the key to getting a star drive
as it does not look like normal matter has what we need
