David, old Son!
Good to have you around.
Five years? Really!
Let's see that was a 914 and an MGB ago.
Best
Les

Gotta add a Cadillac to that list now...

Good for you David. You are one of the ones that actually listen to others and act on their advice. Certainly a good quality to have.:)

I read that entire thread every year on this day. Still brings a tear to my eye..

"A big ol' Cadillac with wire wheels and rhinestones on the spokes":D

Go for it ! You can carry the teener in the trunk as a lifeboat.

Best

LOL damn near, I found Jimmy Hoffa in there when I was cleaning it out. I'm thinking about adding cow horns over the grill and pistols for door handles..

Thanks for sticking around David.

We're really overdue one of your spoon restore threads ;)

That's why we had to keep you around, you know

So glad it worked out so well, Bro.

Cheers Richard

yeah I know. I haven't done an "on the bench" series in a quite a while. Actually I have rescued anything worth posting. Mainly repairs and their no fun to watch. I have a Meriden SXS that i found a year ago the is a worthy candidate so after Christmas I may do a feature on that..

Glad to be here as well..

porsche4life 11-23-2016 08:13 AM

Glad you took our advice you stubborn old fart! :D
Here's hoping we get to keep you around for many more years!

So, I guess Jack's Fox Sterlingworth isn't sponge-worthy:D

All the best David, I am so delighted we get a chance to share this anniversary...to many more, Salute.

We are all very pleased that you're still around!

2porscheguy 11-23-2016 10:51 AM

David I wasn't "involved" in that thread but I did read about it later on and, as others have said, we're all glad you posted it and followed the advice given by fellow pelicans that day! You did the right thing and that was five years ago.....super glad it worked out for you!

How is your health as of late?

targa911S 11-23-2016 11:08 AM

I'm good. No cigarettes for 5 years now. Cigar once in a while. My Dopplers every 6 months are clear as a bell. Been sleeping with a CPAP on and it has changed my life. All in all other than turning 66 in January all is well.

Jack's gun was too easy. Just a re- finish. It's done already. Looks new. Waiting on the sight for your Browning. They should both be back home by next week.

Just kidding, my friend.

Now, rest assured I will be posting pictures:cool:

I hope Rick V. chimes in...he was fairly adamant on your behalf.
