The USPO in Claremont, CA has a mural done in the 1930's in the WPA style by a famous CA Plein Air Painter.

No, not Halifax I think it says (on a plaque) "great fire of 1906". That is on the side of our fire station. I like the street scene and especially the trains on our library. I watched the artists paint some of that one (trains) and it was amazing to behold how they did it.
