Worth a read, if you haven’t followed his career in recent years:

and Tiger likes golfing with President Trump
|
I am somewhat astounded at the public reaction. Golf is a sport (well sort of) and Tiger is a dirt bag who can hit the ball. That pretty much encapsulates my take on all pro sports when talking about dirt bags who play those pro sports. So many role models who get zero press. Flame away.

No adulation here....just some respect. If it's been an "act"... then I got fooled again ;) Rock on.... |
Those of you that do not play golf have literally no idea what it takes to achieve the level of skill that these players demonstrate, week in and week out. Likewise, those of you that think golf does not take a toll on the body should take note that Woods had destroyed his by the age of 40. To come back from an injury that was so severe that he could barely walk and to reach a point in his game where he could beat every one of the best players in the world, on what might be the most difficult course in the world, requires a dedication and commitment that none of you will ever know.
Feel free not to celebrate his victory, but leave it at that. |

What’s this I hear Trump is giving him the Presidental Medal of Freedom! Is that a Hooker Award? |
As a no-talent hack.....I ended my NBA aspirations... when I trashed my knee a few times in my late 20s.....
I can't relate to Zion Williamson....nope, not even a little bit ;). I've had some VERY minor....yet crippling temporary back injuries....he is TOUGH....physically and mentally a champion....like no other imo. His return is just as amazing as what he did....back in the day. He is the only reason I watched back then too.... I appreciate talent...the "flaws" come with humans...none of us are who we once were either....for better or worse imo. Go Tiger... |

Roughly from Bill Burr..... Bout 7:30 in. I had forgotten about this watch but since Tiger did so good last weekend I dug it out and will wear it for a while.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1555691875.JPG

Golf is the most difficult individual sport in the world. You are essentially playing against yourself...there are no judges, weight classes, or physical confrontation, there are no "stiffs" - often your main competition has finished their round while you play in the rain. So it goes I found Tiger's win a remarkable atheistic and athletic achievement. BTW, Bill Burr made my Easter weekend: the dick as a third base coach is inspired. |
I hope Tiger make the cut in the Open...
Bethpage, Black..... I will probably (maybe) be able to hear the crowds as he progresses down the course.. For all his faults, and none of us are perfect.. No one gets the crowd as fired up as he does.. |
