How much is this gold worth?
Just kidding, this is what I had done two hours ago (#31 right rear lower molar). Split root, and getting an implant in three months, and a crown on that after another three months. At least for now, I have real good dental insurance. Vicodin is "user friendly".

An implant is definitely the way to go. They look & function exactly like a natural tooth. You might also consider having any old fillings replaced before you retire and lose your dental insurance.
