So how much for the truck?

Apparently starts at $68k-$75k depending on trim.... then options of course.

From what i have seen so far I like them except one little thing they copied from Tesla. You use the touch screen to adjust the vents and steering wheel.

Someone used a truck to tow from MI to CA. Kills the range, obviously.

""On average, we find about one of four chargers at a station is non-functional," said @gideontherivian in an Instagram comment.

Even so, they report averaging 350 miles a day on their trip and traveling as far as 502 miles, though not by running the battery low. Instead, they're stopping every 80 to 100 miles for shorter charges, stating they "increased our [sic] miles per charging time by over 20 percent by driving shorter legs and charging more often."

i wanted one, very briefly. this morning to be exact, since my SF friends tell me they are starting to see them.

it has a 4.5 long bed! my kayak would teeter out even with the bed extender.

the Big Cybertruck still looks better on paper for me. they have my deposit.

I will wait for one where I don't have to iPad everything.

Saw about 20 of them outside the factory last week. They appear surprisingly well-refined for a "first ever" product from a brand new car company. Not perfect, but really nice.

No F150 lightning? That seems more appealing than a cybertruck.

Might actually get it this decade too.

I think the Cybertruck only requires a refundable $100 deposit.

January 2021 issue of Motortrend, did an in depth article about a 7K mile trip across the TAT with two electric Rivian pick up trucks. Really well written interesting story. The Motortrend staff were amazed at what these trucks could do. Plenty of Charging stations along the route, so no worries about running out of juice. Pricy though..
