Saw that this morning. Wonder what it will be when the time comes? The Daytona triples sound lovely but seem to "let go" a little too often on the track. Too often for my wallet, anyway.

Fantastic to see them considered, let alone a front runner.

Anyone know why is the SS (600) market is in the toilet in the EU? Noise and emissions?

I'm racing a 2010 675 Daytona SE. My builder, Hordpower says HP is found in squeezing them not in RPM. The kit cams and related parts were designed around WSS and WSB rules, which allowed for those mods, so spinning them faster became the plan. I have the kit ecu but stayed with the stock rev limit and JD's own cam profile which he developed building Triumphs back in the Formula extreme days. It will be interesting to see how the 3rd generation motor holds up when using the second gens stroke. I have heard one former Moto America team may have built a few of these strokers for club racing customers. I'm pretty sure I have chased one and on a straight it pulls me quite a bit.

I think the 600s are getting killed because of costs. All the expensive external bits cost the same no matter what the displacement.
I miss the exotic 400s and 250 2T production bikes.

I've got a MotoGP pass, and will buy the FuboTV subscription again for MotoAmerica,..... but does anyone have a torrent site for WSBK ? That was the only way i could get the races up until mid part of last year.

True, but they don't always show both races, or if they do the second race is later in the week, or at midnight or some other time I cannot view. Their DVR function is limited, and it was just so much better when I could download it and watch when I had time. Thanks for the heads up though, I didn't realize the season started this weekend!!!! Go Sykes!

They always show both races. They are not at the same time, as they show them live and they happen on different days. They will also show the Supersport race. And, there's a pre-season preview that airs ahead of the races. My DVR has no problems recording them.

Races that are broadcast live from the other side of the globe often are shown at night over here, nothing new about that.

The bad news for us is that the Hondas are nowhere near ready to race, so the first few races will be an uphill battle for Nicky. I cannot understand how Honda only got the bikes to the team just two weeks before the first test. Nicky's riding style is very different from Stefan, so they won't learn much from each other, either.

Maybe so, but i've never had much luck finding them or navigating their schedule. I don't think the DVR function was working until the last part of the season and while i did use it, it was being used then for the GP and MotoAmerica. Since you can only hold 3 events that loads up pretty quick when races coincide with each other. This year should be better since i have the GP pass.

Great first WSBK race - really tight. Will be interesting to see how the new rules work tomorrow when the winner starts on the 3rd row...

This isnít a clever computer program that helps exasperated MotoGP engineers deal with petulant, prima-donna riders, itís an important rider aid thatís become even more so since the advent of unified software.

Another step toward making MotoGP bikes more like an F1 car? I wonder. I'm no racer and I realize this tech makes the bikes safer. But MGP has been more about the skill of the rider than the tech of the bike. IMHO

Actually, the software they ran a couple years ago was vastly more sophisticated than what they run today. They've dumbed it down quite a bit.
