Wow, California is getting desperate.
I haven't lived in California for 2 1/2 years, but the state keeps sending me tax demands. Just got one demanding nearly $10,000 for 2015. I fire these off to my CPA and he sends out a return with $0 owed. Things must be getting bad up north, trying to feed and house all the campers up there.

When I moved here, they demanded taxes from prior to moving here. Don't think I have ever gone longer than 6 months without the tax board trying to get money out of me that I already paid them.

Oooohhhhh, you got hit with the new "zero back-taxes owed" tax.
The less back-taxes you owed, the more you owe now. Having a zero balance is the kiss of death. Can't stand in the way of progress(ive) |
