Ideas to see in China?
After doing a study abroad last year, our daughter has the travel bug.
This year she is in Guiyang China, Hong Kong, Chiang Mai, Thailand and maybe a few other places on a two week vacation. If I find out any other locations, I'll update the post. What's to see in each location? Last edited by A930Rocket; 12-13-2016 at 06:10 AM.. |

About 5 hours by bus north of Guiyang is Chongqinq (a huge city, around 30 million), on the Yangtze River. The Panda Zoo is located here. We were there about 2 months ago, and all the Pandas were out in their spaces.

I love it... a city of 30 million that I've never heard of before.
So much to do in Hong Kong... I would suggest hitting up Things To Do on Tripadvisor.com

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chongqing China is vast and amazing. Step one is to figure out what interests her. History, people, culture, geological wonders etc. and then choose places within a reasonable travel radius. In Chongqing proper there are some interesting museums that tell the story of the American Flying Tigers. A cruise down river reveals a side of China past. Pandas are great, food was great there. We spent 3 weeks in China and just scratched the surface.
