up to a 2 year wait, just for an MRI here. In British Columbia. unless you are a house pet ......
there are no family doctors available, outside of the city of Vancouver. you have to use a walk in clinic. walk in clinics are not allowed to prescribe an MRI. they are also not allowed to take on a new patient under 65 years of age.
oh, and medical is not free, either, you have to pay monthly premiums.
the rich folks have private (publicly funded) care, to go with their private (publicly funded) schools.

My brother in law. A doctor. Moved out of Vancouver because he couldn't afford to live there.
