He Has Outlived Cockroachs
I dare say that there aren't any Cockroaches that have made it to 73. He has out lived, nay survived longer than any Cockroach in living memory. Why of course that survivor of debauchery that would lay any self respecting cockroach low is Mr Keith Richards. Today is the hallmark of another year of survival for a man known for his prodigious debauchery. Happy Birth Day Keith...
May he keep on hitting another drag from a fag, snort down a shot of JD and play a riff or two on his six string. |
He doesn't have a drug problem, he has a cop problem....

"It's great to be here tonight....hell, it's great to be anywhere tonight" - Keef
Just as long as the guitar plays... |
I've had the pleasure to see him play twice! He's slowed down a bit but a damn fine musician.

Hear hear!

Happy birthday to Keith...we may be the same age, but I never could have kept up...not even close.

Who wants to live forever anyway? I hear real old people say they wish they were dead now and then. It is not so great "near the end". Have fun when you are young, it gets "less fun" as you age. And don't save your money for when you retire. That is BS. Have your fun when you are young. You will get by when you retire, and it won't really matter any more.

Got to love Keith. He's obviously got great longevity genes which many people don't have, and couldn't possibly survive that lifestyle.
Important topical info: He got clobbered on the head when he fell from a coconut palm a couple of years back, I believe in Fiji. His extended recuperation, not unlike that of similar time and space explorer Buzz Aldrin last month, took place in little old New Zealand. |
He looks HORRIBLE for 73
He looks like skeletor 10 years ago in his early 60s |
He looks like johnnie depps father.

Keef has been dead for years. They keep him in a jar of formaldehyde and reanimate when the boys need money (announce another a tour).
I read his biography over the summer. Great account by a very entertaining guy. Hell of run he's had. Comedian said, "Rock stars don't do drugs anymore because KR did them all." |

Netflix has his documentary "Under the influence" it's great. Watch it if you haven't, it's him only and almost never mentions the rest of the band especially Mick and his tiny....todger
|
Back in the 80s, when Ivan Neville was a youngin', he was burnin' the candle at both ends and in the middle. When Keef told him he needed to slow down (I'm paraphrasing)...it shook him up and was a reality check :)

Doesn't look a day over 99.
