Duluth Trading work pants

Anybody here got a pair?
Wondering what your take is on them.
How do you like 'em?
Do they 'break in' like a pair of Levi's?

They are no frills work jeans that are better than the latest incarnation of Levis which are made everywhere but the USA. Carhartt, Riggs by Wrangler, Lee are on a par.

Best Denim material is made in Japan, which is made with the old American denim making machines. Evisu is the only jeans mfg that makes bespoke jeans. RMC (Dragon azz jeans) PRPS, and Zegna use Japanese denim.

Can't say anything about the pants, but I bought about six of their T-shirts with pockets. While I like the T-shirts - decently heavy material & good construction, I'm not buying anything from them again because I now get several, advertising emails a day. They go right into my junk file, but it pisses me off.

I spend allot of time on a manufacturing floor. I have a few pairs of work pants from Duluth. They work for me! I like the buck naked undies too.

I have a couple of pairs of the "Ballroom" jeans.
They are good durable jeans with canvas (fire hose) at the high wear connections.
They are pretty comfortable but no points on style if that is important to you...

Thanks guys.
I just got some in the mail last night and they fit pretty nice, feel pretty good and weigh about twice what a normal pair of jeans weigh. I think they'll be OK after a few washings.

i have a pair of their Firehose pants (or is it fireman pants?).

they are absolutely ridiculous. super heavy, super burly, i dont think you can wear them out..EVER. i think they have a 100% replacement policy should they tear. i have a shortish legs, i did a summer on a highway and went over k-rail probably 30 times a day. that is a lot of crouch rubbing. zero tears. to bad they dont warranty getting fatter or skinnier..

For Denim, you might consider these:

I own a pair, but no other affiliation. Supposedly made on the old USA levis equipment.

I have a couple pairs of the firehose cargo pants as well. I have never torn them either and they are my garage pants....

I wear dickies cargo pants at work (work uniform, can't beat the price... FREE!).
They fit well, are comfortable, and seem very durable (never had a rip) and even if you are paying for them the price is still very reasonable.
I wear designer jeans... that I buy at the goodwill store... sorry, I'm old school and not paying +$100 for jeans.
YMMV

You can easily make them stop. Any company worth beans will have an 'unsubscribe' link somewhere in the email.

Evans, Marv 12-21-2016 10:23 AM

Thanks for that suggestion. I'll look for that link.

stevej37 12-21-2016 10:29 AM

I've never tried them...have heard they are very durable.
My favorite jeans at this time of year (in MI) are flannel lined jeans...warm and very comfortable!

Fire hose work jeans are my daily drivers. Like 'em. Especially their stylishness. Keeps the babes away.

What!!! You mean you won't pay $1000 for a pair of Dragin Azz blues????? Hey wait a minute neither will I, but I would pay $10.00 for them. As a matter of fact everything I have comes from a Thrift. On Monday it was a pair of $800 Zenga brown slip ons with a pair of Diesel Blues, Tuesday it was a pair of black Swiss Bally's with a pair of Citizens for Humanity.

I am wearing my Ballroom Duluouutz right now, and they feel nice an comfeey

I got a few polo shirts with pockets and a jacket for the dog, maybe I will take a picture of the morning. Shirts were the T shirt material ones, did not really hold up very well, collar showing some wear. The jacket for the pooch is top notch. Easy to doff and don, velcro makes it easy to use, fit my dog from the 57 lbs he was when I got him, to the 90 he is now. It is nylon, lined with material that is suspiciously similar to my pull over. Hunter orange, with piping that is so reflective, I think it may be radioactive. I might spray it with some Scotchguard, it is not all that waterproof. Otherwise the dog jacket is good.

The spam thing from Duluth Trading is pretty frequent, but the spam folder gets it okay.

Crowbob 12-21-2016 07:20 PM

I cringe with Duluth's ads on TV but only during the accompaniment of my significant other.
