Going medieval on someone's *ss is sometimes warranted. It is clearly the case in this situation.

Finishing her off with chain saw would be a nice touch too.

"In the meantime, Thomas, a former professional racing mechanic, had to pay $7,000 to get replacement documents. That’s because in order to get new registrations from the Department of Motor Vehicles,he needed the vehicle identification numbers. But the VIN number are hidden inside old Porsches, and the cars has to be taken apart in an expensive procedure at a garage in order for the data to be retrieved."

Oh really? Some mechanic.

I know Tom and met his wife when they first met! My wife and I thought she was a **** way back then after the first time we met her! Even asked Tom if he was sure about her, but can't tell some guys who or who not to marry. Oh well, I hope he gets all his stuff back.

I kinda wondered about that myself...he couldn't look though a windshield?

Oh well, just another of many "Hell hath no fury" stories..

According to the article the judge is doing the right thing. There is an arrest warrant for the ex and she will have to pay the money for getting the replacement titles, and some attorney fees or she goes to jail. Jail tends to make most people more willing to play by the book. I hope she sees some jail time.

Or let alone open a door?

Waste of 7 grand if you ask me. In az you just go to the DMV and get a duplicate title. Doesn't even require you to know the vin...

Yes, there are hidden VINs, but there are at least two very accessible locations as well. That, and with modern record keeping, I just can't see any state in the union being unable to handle a lost title request from the current owner of record - it's not like he was trying to change the names on the titles or anything. In other words, no ownership dispute of any kind. Between all of that and, um, how well cared for those poor 914's look, I suspect there is some unnecessary drama being added by someone...

I told my best friend that he marrying a certain woman is a mistake. He married her anyway. Never spoke with the guy after that.

My cousin happened to live down the street from the newly married love-birds. A bunch of cop cars had suddenly descended on the marital home. There was violence involved and arrests made.

Still haven't talked to the guy.

I started typing a response to this earlier and got sidetracked. Typical NY Post story, makes zero sense as written. Of course VIN #s are located inside the front trunk, stamped into the tub on every Porsche since the '50s(?). Definitely on early 911s and definitely on the super-valuable big bumper 914s in the photo.

Maybe "registration" means something different where he lives, in CA. it has no value unless you need to show it in a traffic stop. Has nothing to do w proof of ownership, that would be the title. This just makes no sense, sorry.

read the article:

Joanne Campbell took the registrations from the seven cars — vintage Porsche 911s, 912s and 914s from the 1960s and 70s– after the Upstate couple divorced in 2006.

Society has taught women that they are always the "wronged" party and justified in getting any form of payback they chose. Watch any sitcom, the guy is a dumb idiot, the wife is a paragon of virtue, and he gets what is coming to him.

So some Porsches, and a couple of 914's

Registration and title being equivalent is the only way this makes sense to me.

The parody aspect is elusive, for sure.

Tim the Tool Man had it down pretty close.

You guys are missing the point.. Of course the VINs are visible, but making her pay $7,000 in restitution for him to procure the said VINs is classic!!

This... And she may have done him a service. All of those cars have gone up in value.
If she hand't stolen the papers he may have sold them before the market rise.
