Leupold scope ring?

need a fast answer..sorry about the new thread.

i got a gunsmith to do the work for me, since the installation kit/tools is about $100..

i can reuse my old base correct? they are universal for all Leupold rings? i measure height from base to middle of ring and get 0.75"..i'm gonna assume this is a medium height at 0.77" as spec'd out?

only Leupold does that front pivot, rear double windage screw thing? this is the front ring..the pivot one. this is a Leupold system correct?

he said he would align, lap and bore sight for about $40..

yes it is. Keep in mind Burris makes that system as well, but that looks Leupold to me. That is what I charge to lap, mount and bore sight as well.

Now that the OP question is answered ... I have always aligned my scopes using an alignment kit. Never lapped, but that will be on the tool purchase list for next time. The$40 seems to be determined by the price of the tools. If you do more than one install, you'll pay for the tools! :)
