Hello Porsche people, my race name is Major RICE and I race RICE......I have heard that you fellows get a big kick making fun of RICE.

Well I'm going to make all of you EAT your words.

I know that there is a GGR Region Autocross on Sat Sept. 1 in Dublin. And I know that its a Charity Event.

----------I CHALLENGE ANY OF YOU TO A RACE ON THE AUTOCROSS COURSE----------

Since I want to hurt you bad, real bad, so bad you will never forget. I will bring $10,000.00 in cash and I'll bet anyone of you, in any Porsche, thats right any Porsche! Be it a 917K, Cup car or that hot little number that Mark Donahue drove in Can-Am......Any Porsche....bring it on!!!

TERMS:
Four warm up laps, and then the best time out of three laps. Not an average time for the three laps, but the fastest lap out of the three. All other rules apply.

The winner donates the losers 10K to the Charity. Game? It's time to put your money where your mouth is!!

If 10k isn't enough, I'll go as high as 250K....CASH!
Put your money where you big fricking mouths are.

My car is a current Japanese production car that is street driven and is built to the highest quality. No NOX allowed.

I'll bet he isn't. The gentleman I bought my car from was a custom cabinet maker, and across from his shop in a strip center, there was a Japanese guy who built Honda's, and I mean built them. Evidently, he shipped the engines to Honda, and had them reworked by the same folks that build the race engines. He modified the transmission, suspension, brakes, and other components in his shop, which included a dramatic weight reduction, and then installed the "tweaked" engine when it was returned from Japan.

While ridiculously expensive, these cars are incredibly fast. The gentleman I bought my car from said that cars like the Viper and Turbo Carrera were no match for these little, custom Honda's. While I'm sure there was a little fluff involved, I have no doubt that these cars, such as the CRX, are giant killers.

Imagine running title for title against a Honda CRX and getting dusted!!!!

OLd saying, I forget by who, I forget the exact words, but they go somnething like this: "Son, as you go out in the world, remember this. Some day a man will come up to you with an unopened deck of cards. He will ask you to bet that the jack of spades won't come out of that deck of cards and spit in your eye. Son, don't take that bet!"

Hey, auto-x is obviously this RICE BOY'S game. Don't take that bet unless you are at the absolute top of that game.

But, Rice Boy? We have a guy living out here in the Northwest named Glenn. Wanna play for ten thou & I name the game? 9 ball, race to 25.....I'm pretty sure I could find the backers for Glenn....That's if you like gambling on a game of skill...

AND...if you like driving fast? Let's play on a real race track, say 25-30 laps on a real race course, your rice car vs. a Porsche to be named later. Again, probably plenty of PCA regions, plenty of track rental days to test your resolve.

Apples & Oranges, guys...don't sucker for the bet.

He he,

I really hope you are serious, or i'm gonna look like a fool.

This is an interseting one. Here goes:

I'm not sure about Porsche history, but I believe that their forte was in distance and reliability racing. However, this is no excuse, and it is my belief that there is a Porsche (or whatever make) out there that would beat you. I wanna see specs and details on your ride, but my money will be on the Porsche.

Just to clarify, I make fun of RICE. The definition for RICE is a car that is all show, no go, IMO. I have respect for ANY car that has had time and obviously money spent on design and research. Those cars are not rice. (Although they look like crap with all those damn decals)

I wanna know who is gonna challenge this dude and shut him up. This is obviously not a challenge for a normal car, where are all the RUF owners when you need them?!?!

This post is either gonna be REAL long, or REAL short.

Back in the days when Garretson Enterprises was still in business ... there was a legendary guy in the Bay Area with a black 914 with Garretson sponsorship running a 2.9 liter VW Type IV engine who used to win FTOD on a regular basis. Dusted genuine Ford 289 Cobras (the one I have a Kodachrome of ran no paint, just polished aluminum panels) ... formula cars, and all sorts of high $$$ Lotus, Ferraris, Porsches, Corvettes. Saw him win one Sunday at Alameda County Fairgrounds ...

Talk is real cheap ...

Adam (and others) What you don't understand is that auto-x is a specialty game. A great autocross car is worthless for street or full race course action. I said great. Nothing made by RUF would be competitive with this specialty P.O.S. Now, if this ricer would be willing to ship his car to Germany, want to bet his time vs. yellowbird around the 'ring???? Jack of Spades, spit in your eye...

I got a 67 VW bug(it dont run), stock let me just push it on my barge and I'll motor over to good ole' Dublin's fair city (where the girls are so pretty) and I should be there by September 1st.
Then well see whats what!

By the way does anyone know the directions to the atlantic ocean by way of the Great Salt Lake?

I know the stuffs plentiful over there(Guinness) but slow down "bullet" or you'll ruin your liver drinkin that much and youll be in no shape for driving Sept 1st.

Joking.....

Whatcha got? Youve sparked my interest.

BTW I agree with atr911 as most of us do.
Rice=all show and no go
Respect=any car that can Reallymove Honda, Toyota, 67Bug(that runs) or what have you....there is a big difference between looking like you can compete and really competing.

NO I CANT COMPETE WITH YOUR CAR BUT MINE SURELY LOOK NICER(you dont see many people restoring 82 preludes do you)

My def. of RICE...A Japanese hot rod.

PWD72S, Don't know what a race to 25 is, sorry. As for nine ball I have a record run of 112 racks of nine ball, and I usually play for a thousand a rack...actually I no longer get a nut playing nine ball.

As for an endurace race, I think I can accomadate you, but lets see how this Autocross turns out first.....okay

Adam is right. I would probably take on the challenge in my stock SC, but the car has to be a real "Ricer." After all, the poster is a self-professed "Ricer." So, he has to race real "Rice."

Thus, the car needs to be: A 1995 Honda Accord, with a stock 4 cyl engine (ok, it can have a green foam "mushroom" air filter. Automatic, of course.

"Slammed" down by coil springs repeatedly heated by a blow torch, so that the car is .05 inches off the ground, and the driver's head bobs up and down like one of those chihuahua dogs that go on the rear parcel shelf.

It can have the following performance modifications: One of the wipers removed, and the other reindexed so that is sits vertical, rather than horizontal, on the windshield. Up to three yellow "racing" stripes. A "Powered by Honda" sticker up to 4 feet long. (this is an important ricer sticker, because it identifies the car as one of the "rare" Hondas powered by an, umm, Honda engine). The exhaust must remain stock, but the tip can be up to 6 inches in diameter. The hubcaps can be painted any color. The front calipers can be painted yellow, and the rear drum can be painted a bright color, too. The interior panel can be spraypainted any color. The stock tach can be "Supplemented" by an additional tach on the dash or drivers side A pillar, up to 6 inches in diameter (can never have too many tachs). The driver will not have to wear a helmet, but can have a *really* bad haircut. He also can recline his seat back as far as he wants, as long as it stays a few degrees above horizontal.

That would be "rice" v. Porsche.

I hate to rub it in but my P cars still look better than yours and I have no idea what your car looks like.

He's blowin' smoke guys...he's no pool player if he doesn't know what a "race" is when it relates to 9 ball. And 112 racks? Funny I never heard of this guy in the pro rankings...

First, I'd like to start a poll of how may of us started laughing their asses off when they read this "challenge"? Second, a poll of how many of us think this, um, person, could come up with 250k in cash? Anybody who has that kind of money doesn't come onto a site like this a fire his mouth off like that. I think that "Major Rice" should go back to coloring in his Crayola book and drooling over adds in Import Racer Magazine; the only place you can find more than one person who actually believes the kind of BS this boy is puting out.

PWD72S, Sorry I don't know what a race is to 25. It's probably an American thing. I lived and play nine ball in Hong Kong.

Lets drop the insults and focus on the Autocross Challange.

I'm keepin a close eye on this one (as are you mystery rice man).

I just learned the differance between a auto x and a track race.

What is up with your profile sayin you from sanfran? I just figured that dublin was a city in your neck of the woods.

I deffinetly think that the terms should be a comprimise between your game and someone elses... Can't wait to see the posts that turn up...
