Where else can you spend about $300 on your house/condo and get such dramatic results?

I paint about every 5-6 years. I get a good quality paint such as Benjamin Moore and it lasts and looks good. When I go to somebody else's house I look to see how the edges have been painted. If it is well done it is a joy to look at.....

You echo my sentiments exactly . I have done a lot of painting with all the rental houses , and have gotten pretty proficient at it.
My partner is fast at it , but he sucks. His work looks like a 10 year old did it. I can knock down rooms in pretty good time, and they look fairly professional .
I painted for a season in my 20's. I really liked it .
You wave your arm, and everything is beautiful again .

Growing up, my mom wanted a fresh coat of paint on the walls every spring. Always the same color, Ben Moore cameo white. I swear the rooms got physically smaller from all the layers. Probably the reason I became a good painter.

My own house, every few years. When it needs it or we get tired of a color.
