Scottsdale auctions '17

Is anybody headed to the auctions this week? Mrs. Perk and I are leaving on Thursday. We plan to hit up Bonhams, Gooding and Barrett Jackson while there. This is our first trip to the auctions and am pretty excited to see the action. What's the best way to experience the auction for those who've been before?

My neighbor has a listing with Bonhams and we plan on being at the auction Thursday to see his 308 cross the block. His car is 1 of 15 that was used in the Magnum PI show, which I think is really cool being from my youth.
Here's a link. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23945/lot/95/

I'll be at B-J on Thursday. It's my first time at the Scottsdale auctions too, so I can't offer any tips on what to expect.

Interesting background on the Magnum P.I. Ferraris. Thanks for the link.

For the Magnum pilot and first several episodes there was only one 308. Author PJ O'Rourke chronicled driving the lone car from the east coast to LA where it was shipped to Hawaii for the new show (a great read by itself). Since there was no way of knowing if the show would be picked up or even a hit there wasn't a budget for multiple cars.

I'm in Scottsdale and I went to the auction around 4 to check it out.
I drove to Westworld. Go to public parking (you'll see signs).
Parking was free. A shuttle will take you to the entrance. The shuttle is free but there is a tip jar.
I will be there Thursday as well. If you want to meet up PM me.

Just looked over this 944. Really really clean, would expect with 16k miles.

Cars overall are selling lower than expected. Saw a 3.0 Carrera sell for 50k!!!! It was a very nice car too.
